AP Article - The holidays were sad enough for Kim Velevis and her husband after their lovable pug “Scooter” dug its way out of the backyard and disappeared on Christmas Eve. But the real blow came with the new year: A letter from an anonymous woman who had found the friendly dog and gave it to her daughter as a Christmas present. To compensate for Velevis’ loss, a $20 bill was enclosed.
Pegasus News - On Christmas Eve our little pug Scooter disappeared from our back yard (North Dallas - Midway and Royal). He was a year and a half old and we had raised him since he was a little puppy. We were devastated and felt that we had lost our little baby.

Dear Fellow Pug Lover:
I saw your story and I have to say I am deeply saddened that someone would do such a thing!
It makes me wonder if your dog was a common mutt, would they have returned him to your family or if they are just holding onto him because everyone knows a pure-bred pug costs most owners a small fortune and not just financially, but also in emotion and love.
My heart goes out to you and I hope you get him back. If not, I hope you seek legal & police action to get your baby back!

DANG - that is sad. That stranger has a bigger “coin purse” than I could have...well had that is, since my coin purse got snatched at the VET the other day.
