A: I would say green discharge should mean a trip to the vet, as that means an infection. A trip to a homeopathic or herbalist will also help. Green snot may mean distemper, which is deadly!

A: I like dingoes personally! Mah Mama gave me a nice fuzzy organic pad made from recycled bottles. I thought it would be really hard like a coke bottle so I could chew on it, but its the softest thing I own! Your pug would like both those things!

A: A heat is when a little girl pug can get pregnant. She bleeds a little, which can be kind of scary. Average pug should be anywhere from 14 to 22 pounds depending on the weight and structure of the pug. Pugs that look little usually weigh around 14 to 18, but pugs that look taller and more built can be up to 22 and not be overweight. If you can feel Lucy's ribs easily, she is probably fine.

A: It sounds like she needs more attention. I went through this when mah mama *snort* started working more when I was 2. Try doggie daycare a couple times a week.

Q: I have a pug, he seems to be irritated all the time, and very itchy, I tried steroids and antihistamines, to no avail, took him to the vets and they are now trying antibiotics, thinking it might be bacterial. Q: I have a 9 year old pug named Otis who is a very gentle but not overly affectionate pug. He loves being near us but is not a lap dog. He enjoys attention and rubbing and is very well trained and we love him dearly. We just bought a baby pug-Annie, who is now 4 mos. old, adorable, and unlike Otis extremely affectionate and very rambunctious. She is very playful with Otis, teasing and nipping at him constantly. She is driving him crazy and I am fearful that they will never get along. Otis is not the assertive type and takes her bothersome behavior with a minimum of reactive agression (to put her in her place). Will this interaction calm down? Will Annie and Otis eventually take to each other? What can I do to calm Annie's behavior down as it relates to Otis, and what can you suggest that will foment a warmer relationship between the two? Q: My 16 week old pugs ears, in the last couple of weeks have altered! The right one instead of folding forwards fully as it did before, it is sticking out to the side and has a different fold at the back! A: to keep the ears exactly the same (as for shoedogs) they need to be taped slightly. the ears being different is natural.

Q: I just adopted a 2 year old pug named Pugsy. She was living in a horrible environment and fed human food and after everything she has been through she is sowonderful. I want to make sure that I am feeding her correctly. I am feeding her once a day and about 2 cups of dry dog food (healthy weight from Beneful). What do you think? A: try feeding her twice a day to speed up her metobolism. It keeps the pugs from gainig weight.
