Q: my 1 year old seems so small, what is a healthy weight? -
A: the akc says pugs should be about 14-18 lbs. I weigh 25 and am pretty skinny! If yo9u can't see the ribs, but can slightly feel them, your pug shoudl be okay.

Q: My pug does not like ANY brand of dog food or wet cat food. She will only eat dry cat food. However, she is gaining weight [even with walking] and the weight gain is making her not want to exercise. What can i do for her? -
A: rty dog food that is small bites like cat food. That is all I will eat. you might be overfeeding the cat food as well. YOur best bet is to find dog food that is a similar to cat food as possible.

A: i like to pee so much. I like to pee on clothes.

A: Clean your pugs folds. Is it just itchy, or is there red spots or scabs? That could be something worse, Probably your dog needs some cleaning, or perhaps has allergies.

A: about every six months

Q: Question I have a male pug named Pooghi, he is 2 yrs old, I heard that pugs cannot have rawhide chewies, but my other dog is a Mastiff and he chews through everything else too fast.... I'm torn cause I don't want Pooghi to accidentally get to the other dogs chewies... is it true what I heard? -
A: I eat rawhide, but my mama takes them away when they get too small because i swallow them and have choked once. So the answer is, your pug can have rawhide chew under supervision.

Q: Question my pug has irritated skin and some hair loss. what could cause this? -
A: Could be as simple as allergies, or a skin infection, or it could be mites. Take you dog to the vet and they will most lykely prescribe something to help. I had the similar skin and hair loss and the doctor gave me anti-viral meds and I am fine. Also try a medicated shampoo!

A: He's a puppy, he'll calm down eventually *snort* Offer him toys and provide him with plenty of exercise to tire him out.

A: At least one year.
