Q: I have two 1 year old pugs, the female was fixed of course they are brother and sister. They are the most awesome family members anyone could ask for. Question, after the Female was fixed she really started to put on the wieght, not excessively just noticable she wieghs the appropriate wieght for her age and exercises regularly, Well as much as there genetics allow them too. The male is my concern, he eats like a pig, does not have worms has all his shots and still looks like he isn't gaining any wieght. No ribs showing or anything just not as filledout as I think he should be. Any suggestions? -
A: He just mighht be a leaner pug *snort* more active. If he isn't fixed then that might contribute as well. As long as he you can't see his ribs then he is probably okay. He will fill out as he gets older and less active.

Q: Question My pug is 25 lbs and 6 months old and is not fat.....im wondering if he is a full bred pug or not, he doesn't look like any mixes i've researched, could he just be a big dog? -
A: I weigh 23-25 lbs and am not fat at all *snort* I'm all muscle....He could really just be a taller pug or be more fit.

A: Call th evet immediately. *snort* YOu can also call poison control in yhou town and let them know how much t he pug ate...They actuallycan tell you exactly how much is toxic*snort* i ate chocolate once and got real sick and almost died....

Q: my pug is in heat and bleading how long should i let her wait before i breed her she is 2 years old -
A: SHe will allow the male to breed starting about teh second week usually...like the 9th, 11th, 13th, and 15th day....You can try more than once.

Q: Question I have two pugs, father and daughter who seem to be plaqued with skin irritations off an on. They have bouts with "bumps" over their torsos. I don't think it's flea allergies because I've never seen a flea on either of them. Any other ideas? -
A: Have a vet check for mites, but pugs are prone to dry skin and hhot spots. 9More frequent bathing can help this a lot!

Q: my pug is a year and a bit. the last few weeks have been pretty hot. for the last week or so shes been lethargic but will still play, still eat and drink and still goes to the bathroom, whats wrong with her? -
A: The heat could be effecting her, but as long as she still eats and drinks, she is probably okay. Buy an extra fan for the floor just for her *snort*

A: Pugs cost between $300 and $2000 dollars depending on CKC or AKC registry, pet or show quality, region of country, etc...Adoption is much cheaper! But the up front cost does not include the shots, the vet visits, the toys, the food, or any of the other costs associated with owning a pug *snort*
