Q: My pug has what looks like dry skin on the end of his little nose, kind of like scabs. They don't come off easily and he doesn't like it when I try. Why is his nose dry? What can I do to fix it? -
A: a small amount of petroleum jelly to the nose when dry can help relieve that! *snort* more water! Make sure his shots are up to date! If the dry nose continues fo an extended time, a trip to the vet is in line!

Q: Does a pug have trouble breathing -
A: many do yes...They have smushed noses, they snort and snore...*snort* some breathe better than others *snort*

Q: Are pugs usually hyper? -
A: yes! until age 2 or 3

Q: is it ok to let my pug drink milk -
A: As a treat perhhaps...not all dogs can digest diary, many are lactose intolerant....If you pug likes mmmilk and it doesn't get sick *snort* then as an occassional treat is fine...

Q: HOW LONG ARE PUGS PREGNANCY??? -
A: A pug’s gestation is usually about 60-63 days, but with pug’s can sometimes be shorter, so pay close attention to your pug’s signs.

Q: I am getting pretty big now.. but my mommy is giving me a pretty good diet a day .. she feeds me healthy stuff - but not to much of it - but i am still chubby - wat is happening? Cookie -
A: pugs are chubby *snort* perhaps more exercise is needed, longer walks. *snort* You may need to try diet food (check with a vet)..Even healthy food can be fattening.

Q: what is the smelly stuff that comes out of my pugs' butts? It doesnt happen that often - but when it does - they go crazy and lick it up. it is so gross and smells awful!!! -
A: That is anal gland discharge. Pugs have very messy anal glands. SOme pugs even go in regulary to have theirs discharged. It is also pretty simple to do it yourself. The discharge is sometimes caused by constipation or diarrhea-when your pug isn't able to secrete naturally. IT IS VERY SMELLY! and they will lick it up right away! Q: I was the one who asked about the bald spot...I took him back to the vet and ask her to do a skin scraping and it turns out he has demodex. She said I can either wait it out to see if it goes away (which it might) or I can do a Mitaban "dip". The directions with the Mitaban seem pretty toxic and I'm a little apprehensive about it. How long do you think I should wait it out? Its already been a month. -
A: I would follow the advice of your vet...*snort* Keep a healthy and meaty diet f=and wait another month to see if the spot is shrinking....Hopefully your vet won't charge you very much for a follow up visit to check the condition a 4-6 weeks!

Q: how do you feed your baby Pug -
A: Do you mean a baby whose mother is not nursing it or is the puppy already weaned? I'm going with a new puppy that has been weaned. Sometimes mixing a bit of chicken broth or water with the dry food to make it mush will help you pug eat faster. *snort* without more details it is hard to help.

Q: my pug started throwing up. and he threw up some corn and cheese that he ate. after he thre up just a little in the same day. i tried giving him water but he refused. how will i know when he is getting better. hes also crying a bit. what can i do? -
A: go to a vet please! Corn is not a good food to feed a dog, especially not if it was corn on a cob. Anytime a dog is not drinking water, it is probably a good idea to at least call a vet. If he is crying, something is wrong.

Q: are pads hard to get pugs trained on -
A: I'm assuming you mean wee wee pads. Those are the easiest things to train pugs on usually. You can keep a dirty one under the fresh one so your pug knows where to go

Q: How old should a pug be before getting pregnant? -
A: I always say 2 years, so there is a chance for any problems or health issues to arise. Also breeding causes your pug to stop mmaturing. But the second heat sycle is okay if you are in a hurry.

Q: Question why dose our pug only lick the men in our house -
A: We could back to that old mean, "Your dog is only licking you for the salt." MMaybe they are sweatier and have less perfumes and scents to cover up the natural human smell.. Maybe the men don't stop the lickinhg a smuch, so they know they can keep licking longer. Maybe your pug is just going throuhgh a phase.\ *snort* I used to lick my mamas boyfriends constantly, but now i only lick her. for a while i harddly licked anyone.
