A: This is a very popular question. *snort* There is no one right food for a pug *snort* Find something taht your pug likes and doesn't cause discomfort *snort* Food with corn is usually better. All natural food is great. Many people swear by Nutro. Now,I'm wondering if, will the male have enough sperm to do them both or will he do them both or do I need to find another male pug? -
A: With top quality food and good health, your dog may be breed with both dogs. One a day for a week. Although this lessens the chance of both dogs getting pregnant. A stud can usually be bred once a day for a week with out a reduction in sperm count. You can also use artificail insemination instead of natural studding for a more accurate chance.Q: Question Do pugs build up mucus in their stomach? -

A: Any unusual bald spot is cause to take your dog to a vet! But I'll give you some ideas...
Does she itch it or Does she have fleas? Allergies
Is it just bald or is there flaky skin? Flea Bite Allergy, Mites, hot spots, or even food allergy
Is it kind of pinkish and raw? Mites or ringworm possibility
Usually bald spots on puppies are Mange, but the skin would appear pink or reddish under the spots, and usually get worse. I don't think Chewie had much hair on his belly when he was a puppy, so the stomach balding does not seem as much a concern as the spot on the back of the neck, but really take your pug to the vet if you haven't.
If the pigment is not pink, but a bit darker, it could be cysts or a thyroid problem...
If you haven't taken your pug to a vet, its always better to be safe than sorry.
If you took your pug to a vet and the vet wasn't worried about it so wasn't very helpful, "Keep you eye on it to see if it gets worse" you may want to use VItamin E or a Hot Spot treatment.....Tea Tree oil is great for clearing up dry skin.
Make sure you are using Advantage for flea containment. You can apply as early as 7 weeks, so she is at a good age. Of course if the bald spot is where you applied advantage that could be a problem to.
I hope some of that helps!Q: I left on Vacation and left my Honey (pug) with a sitter. I got her back but she is now very lethargic which is weird for my super hyper 6 month old, and she really doesnt want to play. She isnt eating as much either. Is she sick? Is she having separation anxiety? Pls. let me know. -
A: Give her 24 hours and see if she bounces back...It could be seperation anxiety, your sitter could have been very aggressive in ways you aren't (saying no to things, locking her in a room, stopping her form beinga puppy) and now she is timid to return to behaviors, maybe she is feeling like you abondoned her, maybe the sitter let her eat something...there could be several reasons.....Keep an eye on her to make sure Honey is eating and drinking at least a little, and to see if she is vomiting or having loose stool....GIve it 24 hours or so and if she isn't back to normal take her to a vet!Q: i want to buy a dog is the pug breed the best breed for someone with not much experience with dogs as such ? how big will a pug grow?
-
A: Pugs are very loyal and great pets with good dispositions *snort* they are a lot of responsibility --cleaning between the folds, watching the weight, taking to the vet etc..--however the pug is no more difficult than any other dogs. *snort* Pugs do not get very big, staying lap dogs their whole lives. Unless you let them get fat!Q: are pugs inbred -
